Areef Ahmed
Deputy General ManagerAreef joined CCR in 2000. He chose a career in the hospitality industry at early 1996. He is "Domain expert in the industry" with nearly 25 years of experience in high level. Areef appointed as Deputy General Manager, Kagi Maldives on 1st of December 2020. He is responsible for leading the Kagi Team in providing the needs of the guests
, overseeing the resort’s staff wellbeing
and accomplishing the goals of the Owner. Areef graduated with a Bachelor degree of International Hospitality & Tourism, Taylor University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2013. He makes his home in Male’, Maldives and he speaks basic French and Japanese.
Mohamed Nazeer
Director Of OperationsMr. Nazeer has joined CCR in 2001. During his 18 years career "voyage" in CCR, he has lead in various positions and departments. He has an extensive key experience in Hospitality industry. Nazeer has appointed in the position of Director Of operations, Kagi Maldives on 1st October 2019. He is responsible for the daily operations of the various departments at Kagi.
Nazeer graduated with a Bachelor degree of International Hospitality & Tourism, Taylor University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2012. He makes his home in Addu’, Maldives and he speaks basic French.
Kulaly Thiruchelvam
Human Resources ManagerMs. Kulaly Thiruchelvam has joined CCR in 2018. She is responsible for the Human Resources Functions of the Resort and heading the HR department. Kulaly has completed her MSc in Business Psychology, awarded by University of Heriot-Watt, UK and BSc (Hons) in Business Management awarded by University of Cardiff Metropolitan, UK. She is qualified and experienced professional in Human Resources with 14 years of HR career distinguished by local and foreign working experience. Kulaly is a Sri Lankan, who loves travelling, singing and reading.
Laurent Ghislain Pacolet
Director of Food & BeverageJoined Crown & Champa Resorts in 2019 as Director of Food and Beverage for Kagi & Meeru Islands. Laurent has degrees in Business Administration and in Hotel & Restaurant Management. His illustrious career has seen him work all over the world, from the French Polynesia to Canada, Alaska to Dubai, China to Maldives, with highly acclaimed resorts and hotels. He brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge that will add to the magic of Kagi.
Ahmed Abdulla
Finance ManagerAhmed joined the company in November 2000 and worked his way to become Chief Accountant in May 2012. He was transferred to Komandoo Island Resort & Spa as Chief Accountant in November 2015 and became part of the pre-opening team of Innahura Maldives Resort as Assistant Financial Controller in September 2018. Ahmed Apointed as Finace Manager, Kagi Maldives on 1st October 2020.
Denis Placereani
Executive ChefDenis has joined Kagi as Executive Chef and he is responsible for the food served to our guests and team members. He had worked in Indonesia, China, Caribbean, Thailand, Montenegro and UK. Mr. Denis completed his technical studies from M.Buonarroti, Italy.
He started his career in 2005 in Italy and developed himself by proving his skills in different five-star hotels in Europe.
Abdulla Shareef
HousekeeperShareef joined CCR in 2004. He is currently responsible for the Housekeeping Department at Kagi Maldives. Shareef’s work experience extents across several 5 star and 4-star resorts in various departments as well as overall resorts operation as Director of Operations. Shareef graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management at Maldives National University, Advance Diploma in Digital Marketing, and Diploma in Digital Marketing at Shaw Academy (Dublin, Ireland) affiliated with Dhiraagu Maldives. He did his internships in Intercontinental Hotels in Malaysia.
Rohan Kasturi
F&B Operations ManagerRohan Kasturi, joined Kagi in 2020 as Food and Beverage Operations Manager. Rohan has completed restaurant revenue management & WSET in Emirates academy, Dubai. Experienced in luxurious properties in Dubai & Maldives. He brings ample of knowledge and skill that will elevate the F&B department in Kagi. Rohan enjoy meditation and reading. Mr. Rohan speaks Dhivehi and Sinhalese.
Ahmed Shareef
System AdministratorAhmed joined Crown and champa Resorts in 2009. He is an experienced and dedicated IT Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry for over 11+ years. Ahmed Joined Kagi Team on 15th August 2020.
Ahmed is responsible for the IT Department. He graduated with a Higher Diploma in Information Technology, at Cyryx College, Maldives. Ahmed enjoys reading & watching movies. Ahmed makes his home in Gn. Fuvahmulah, Maldives.
Jibu Jacob
AccountantJibu joined the CCR in 2009. He is the second in charge of the Accounts Department, which oversees accounts, stores and purchasing. Jibu graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India in 1998.
He began his work experience as an assistant accountant in India, followed by accountant at Vilamendhoo Island Resort and later promoted as Chief accountant. Before joined in Kagi, in 2016 was transferred to Hurawalhi Island Resort in the position of Assistant financial controller. He was appointed to his current position as Accountant of Kagi Maldives. In his leisure time, Jibu enjoys listening to music, playing Football and badminton.
Ali Rafiu
Asistant Purchasing ManagerAli Rafiu Joined the Crown and Champa Resorts in 2009. He has worked in purchasing department in Vilamendhoo and Meeru. He transferred to Kagi in January 2021. With over 12years’ experience in purchasing and procurement, his primary role is to ensure that the resort maintains efficient and effective purchasing operations. He completed his diploma in Accounting & Business from ACCA, Mercury Institute, SriLanka. Ali Rafiu was born and raised in Thimarafushi, Maldives and enjoys fishing & travelling.
Dr. Mohamed Atta Hadawy Atta
Resident DoctorDr. Atta joined Kagi Maldives in January 2020. He is responsible for the care of our guests and staff, serves on the Resort Health & Safety Committee and oversees the periodic medical examination of our staff for Public Health matters. He graduated with an MBBS from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Clinical Family Medicine Diploma from AICPD, Cairo, Egypt. He has worked as a Family Doctor for A reputable Hospital and Health centers including AXA OneHealth Family Centers Chain in Egypt. He also worked As Medical Officer in Ministry of Health of Maldives in Addu City from October 2018 to October 2020. He loves Jogging, Gym, Reading, animation and Graphic designing.
